American Society of Civil Engineers
The student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers at the Milwaukee School of Engineering consists of a group of dedicated students who come together to solve the problems proposed by ASCE each year. The theory that is taught in lectures and the knowledge that is gained during labs is put into practice at MSOE through organizations such as ASCE. This exemplifies MSOE's tradition of educating students through experience and the real world application of the curriculum.
Annually, students are given a proposal by ASCE for a concrete canoe and a steel bridge. The teams then design, test, and fabricate all parts of the structure. For more information please refer to the tabs at the top of the page.
One of the cool things about ASCE for students is that Autodesk is a proud supporter of ASCE chapters and offers free resources available to students and local ASCE chapters. Autodesk offers free software and learning materials, and they encourage all members to take advantage of the free resources within their Education Community at students.autodesk.com. The Education Community provides free access to over 40 Autodesk products, Autodesk Apps, student showcases, video tutorials, and an array of interactive learning resources for students.
